The Directorate-General of Land Transportation, is responsible for the formulation of technical policies, supervision and development of transport modes and facilities on roads, rivers, lakes and ferries transport, and the granting of operational licenses.
The main task of Directorate General of Land Transportation is to formulate and implementing policies and technical standard of land transportation.
DGLT’S Function :
- To prepare the formulation and implementing of road, inland waterways, urban and land transport safety policies.
- To create the standard, norm, guidence, criteria and procedure of road, inland waterways, urban and land transport safety.
- To give the technical assistance and evaluation.
- To implement the administration of Directorate General Of Land Transportation.
The structure and organization of the Directorate General of Land Transportation, consists of :
1. The Secretariate - Directorate General of Land Transportation
2. The Directorate of Road Transport and Traffic
3. The Directorate of Inland Waterways and Ferry Transport
4. The Directorate of Urban Transport System
5. The Directorate of Land Transport Safety
